Enjoying a Morning in the Garden
The big cool front came in last night, and I don’t think I could be any more excited. Right now I’m sitting outside with my coffee and my dog, soaking up my favorite kind of morning. I’m enjoying the sound of branches and leaves being tousled by the wind. And the shadows of oaks dancing in the golden autumn sunshine. And now there’s a monarch fluttering in and out of my view. It’s truly a beautiful day.
I figured it was the perfect morning to sit outside and write in my garden about my garden. I even have some photos share! The other day, I was so incredibly tickled by the sight of dew drops on cauliflower leaves that I grabbed my camera and captured the sight.
Quickly I noticed the dew drops adorning the rest of the plants. I thought my flowers looked particularly adorable with both their pops of color and these temporary little decorations. I was quick to snap a photo of my Calendula and English Daisy.

Dia de los Muertos has been on my mind too. Monday we honored our lost pets. My marigolds and talavera dog have been serving as reminders of my beloved girl who I lost a couple years ago, though I truly can’t believe it’s been that long.
I’m so happy to welcome in the chilly air and autumn feels. I’ve been ready to really embrace the ‘ber months. Taco soup is back on the menu! Happy fall, y’all! Go enjoy your gardens :)
